Memory Monday-#1

This is my first link up party, and theme day in one! Hopefully, I get everything right! Sorry for the pictures, I still don't have a great camera!

Today’s memory subject is your favorite end of school memory. It can be from when you were a kid, or your favorite memory from your child’s graduation, last day of school party, etc. Rules of the link up party:

Schoolhouse Rock! (Special 30th Anniversary Edition)

• Please put a link to your post about your memory, not just your blog homepage.

• There is not a button, yet, but you could grab one of my every day buttons and display that (even if it is just in the entry).

• Visit a couple of the other blog entries and let them know how you came to their entry, remember how awesome it is to get comments? Gift someone else that feeling.

• You do not have to follow anyone that follows you.

My favorite End of School memory was from the end of my second grade. I had appendicitis that year and had missed quite a bit of school due to hospitalization. I was unable to attend the awards ceremony and was very upset that I wouldn’t get to “walk the stage” for my parents, or get all the medals and certificates I had earned that year. Sitting at home on my last day of school, my teacher, Mrs. Rogers, came by after school hours to drop off all of my awards. I cried. She cried. My mom cried. It was amazing and made me think I was so very special because my teacher came to my house! Mrs. Rogers turned out to be one of my favorite people, and I would visit her at my elementary school every chance I could until I moved from Mansfield. She is what great teachers are like.

Children's Gymnastics Cartwheel / Beam Training MatThe Ultimate Ice Cream Book: Over 500 Ice Creams, Sorbets, Granitas, Drinks, And MoreI also got to eat a lot of ice cream at that time, which may be why I don’t eat so much of it now. Besides missing school, the hardest part for me during my recovery was learning how to do a cartwheel again. Ah, childhood.

So now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to read your memories!
