Just got home from seeing Eclipse with my niece and her best friend. We had fun munching on some Chicken Express.

There was a birthday party going on at the movies which was a little annoying but they were handing out the old vampire teeth, so of course the girls got some...

We had fun though, and the movie was good. Cannot wait for the last one, as Breaking Dawn was my favorite in the saga. Did anyone go and see the movie today? What did you think of it?

New Layout

I've given my blog a much needed facelift! I was feeling dark and dreary with the old one.

Still working on the pages so watch for those to go up soon!

Tell me what you think!

Playing in the rain...

Kinzey and I played outside in the rain today. It was her first time!

She loved it!

The thunder that joined the rain did scare her a bit, so she had to cling to daddy.

He thinks we're crazy...

We are!

Bubba brought his puppy, Samson, over. Kinzey didn't want to stop holding him!

So cute!

I've also been creating customized t-shirts lately for some of the girls at work. I had made some for my kiddo's trip to the zoo with my mom. They all said "Granny's Favorite" with each child's name on the back. Kinzey's had ribbons and flowers on hers, but she was the only girl. For the ones at work, I charge $12-$14 depending on what embellishments were chosen.

The girls one is not quite finished..still needs ribbons and such.

I used fonts from Kevin and Amanda. Printed onto iron on paper, and the rest is easy! Of course if you want one without going through the hassle just email me! twistedletter(at)aol(dot)com

I get the cutest scrapbooking fonts at Free Scrapbook Fonts! kevinandamanda.com/fonts

Birthday Wishes

So besides having some major writer's block this past week or so, I've had a bad case of the "I want that!"'s

It may be because my birthday is July 8th. I will be a nondescript twenty-something mom and wife.

So, to try and jump over the writer's block while my washing machine is struggling to catch up from me running fever all day today and yesterday, I'm composing a wish list.

Busy Mom's Bible: Daily Inspiration Even If You Only Have One Minute
  1. Bible. The bible I currently own is the Teen Truth Bible. I've grown up and want something a little more sophisticated. I like this one found at Walmart
  2. The Cricut Expressions Cutter. Yes it runs around $249, but it cuts almost everything and would be very useful for me and my husband. Love.
  3. A pair of prescription sunglasses. I can't see in the car with that Texas sun glaring at me. I can wear normal shades but then the signs and everything gets blurry. I refuse to buy the shades that fit over my glasses. I cannot wear contacts.
  4. A new purse. I am in love with one I found through E Tells Tales. This gorgeous beauty is $49 and you get a free scarf. I'd like the scarf in black. Just in case you were wondering :D.

On a side note, I'm having some problems placing images today, but my eyes are melting out of my head as we speak due to fever. I'll let them sit where they are. Goodnight.

Pen Pals

I saw this idea over at Confessions of a Homeschooler, who got it from The Homeschool Post. We started it today!

I'm using simple composition books

Mead Composition Book, One Wide-Ruled Notebook with 100 Sheets, Black Marble (09910)

And wrote each child's name on the front. The letters read as follows:

"Dear Kinzey,

Would you like mommy to write to you? I want you to know how much I love you and how much you drive me crazy! Right now you are screaming from you bed room because it is nap time! You've been kind of bratty toady! I started a notebook with your bubba today, too! He and I are pen pals. Next time he comes over we can all decorate the covers of our notebooks. I really hope you like and will treasure these notes. I want to be your mom and your best friend. I hope you know I am always here for you!

"Dear Houston,

Would you like to be pen pals? I thought it would be fun! Instead of sending letters through the mail, we'll keep them in this notebook. I will write to you, and leave the notebook on your bed. Then, when you want to write me back, you write on the next page and leave the notebook on my bed.

You can write anything you like. It can be funny or serious or anything you want. Sound like fun?

Next time you come over we can even decorate the cover of our notebook!

P.S. Write back soon!"

I cannot wait to hear back from him and he seems excited to be able to write back to me!

Tot School

We did Tot School on Monday.

Houston helped me show Kinzey  large blocks that can be threaded, sorted, and in primary colors. She can say each color (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow) but I'm not sure she can identify each one yet.

Baby Einstein Discover & Play Color Block

We also counted with them. Her favorite number is two right now.

Edushape Edu Tiles - Numbers, 10 Piece Set

We read one of her sign language books, Wow First Words. She knows "Cuddle", "I love you", "Mommy", "Daddy", and "Play" now. On a side note, she can also say "Hustle, wagon, strawberry, and phone"

Wow: First Words

We are taking today as a summer day, and having lunch with Houston's stepmom, cleaning up, working (for mom), and then Houston is going to stay the night with his Mamaw.

Tot School

Working Love

So some of my internet work has bleed over to blogging. I'm sure some may have noticed on my profile that I also write for Shelton's Salon and Day Spa I compile all off the information, edit the entries, write a few of them, design the blog template (still working on that one), and make sure everything runs smoothly. It's fun and I love it, but it's eating my personal blogging/crafting time. Anyway, please let me know what you think, following would be awesome but not necessary. You can always check out the Facebook fanpage here

Sharing is caring!
