Bible Study

I'm having difficulties figuring out what to read, how to interpret, and what to gain from reading the bible. I love reading it, it's just that since I have yet to be placed into a bible study group at church (I help in the nursrey Wednesday nights, and my husband and I attend the parents course Sundays) I'm at a loss as to where to begin. I read through Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, but what next?

I was trying to find a bible study group online, but so far the only thing I've found is bible study outlines and lesson plans. These could help, but I am still missing the interaction with others on their insight into the reading. I do a weekly bible study that came with my bible, but want a book(s) to focus on for the month.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Psalms! I started reading one a day and journaling about it and loved it. You can definitely do more, for me though, I decided to really focus on one then give myself a good amount of time to pray over it. Remember this: if you keep getting into the Word, no matter if you feel like you're getting something out of it or not, God will bless that. You'll find something you love and learn from. And a study will come up someday! Maybe this is just your chance to really focus on studying the bible on your own. Who knows - BUT, I say go with it. James is good. Romans. Galatians!

I love Beth Moore. She has several studies available, but I really like the one I am doing right now - it is online. Lots of women have done it and more are doing it now all over the world. There is a chat room/forum thing where you can interact with other women. I highly recommend it. I think it was about $25 but that includes the materials and everything.
