First Dentist Trip

So this bad mommy finally took her three year old to the dentist. Kinzey loved it! She got to use the suction valve during my visit. She came back with a clean bill - no cavaties! Me? Ugh, well let's just look at Kinzey at the dentist!

We did take the family to a new dentist, so if you are in DFW and looking for a great family-owned and operated dentist (where you can also book appointments online!!!) check out Davis Family Dentistry in Bedford, Texas! I might not be singing the same tune after my next visit (let's just say I need at least two fillings AND I have four impacted wisdom teeth), but they are super friendly, patient, and asked me to bring my three year old to my appointment so she could see how easy and not scary my visit was (Kinzey decided to see the dentist that day because of how great their team is!).

That's Deep - Face Wash by mark. Review

So as I mentioned in my post last week about all the FREE products from mark. through Vanessa, I do have a few reviews of the products she sent me to share with you. The first one I used immediately after opening my package was the purifying cleanser that's deep.

It was only a trial size, but there is enough in this pouch to wash your face twice. I have to say this stuff smells wonderful! The sugar maple and black willow bark compliment each other well (all this coming from a girl who is severely allergy prone!) . And before you see the next collage, please excuse my horrid after a full day of wearing makeup without a touch-up face, thank you.

Of course I took all images myself, and well I'm not showing you the after because this darn face wash removed ALL of my makeup. My skin did feel great after, not that extra tightness you get when it removes all of the moisture from your skin. Extra perk in my book!

If you want your chance to get this as a free sample (along with other full sized products and samples) just go to Vanessa's online mark. eboutique and sign up! For a preview of what you *might* get in the mail from Vanessa, check out this post!

First "Race" Event Ever

So one of my best friends asked me if I would run in the Warrior Dash with her. I said "Yes."

She sent me the website and told me to check it out and let her know what I think.

I glanced over it, thought looks crazy, and still told her yes.

Now that I'm googling images, I have to admit I'm a little nervous. I haven't ran since, well high school. Even when I started running again back in October, I was jogging/walking. Now I have to train?

My thoughts:
  • "I'll be ready for bikini season....if I make it through the actual race."
  • "At least my husband will be at work, so he can't make fun of me...except now he's off Saturdays."
  • "I'll be promoting driven! so I can just blame it on being a 'promoter' not an athlete."
  • "Am I crazy? Yes, but I need to be more active. You told yourself you would do some sort of race this year, and this is the first one that became an actual opportunity (I hate doing anything like this by myself). You will be with your friends, yes at 9 am but they let you choose the time. You wanted to get it over with early in the day. Deal."
  • "If I start training now, I should be ready."

Just in case you didn't click on the link above, and want an idea of the activities I'll have to do in the Warrior Dash. Check out these images:

  • Swamp crawl
  • Navigating our way through rundown trailers
  • Running through "hundreds" of tires
  • Navigating through the forest
  • Rapelling
  • Running down the river
  • Sprinting up a hill
  • Running down the muddy slope
  • Up and over hay bales
  • Climbing over cargo nets
  • Leaping over fire
  • Lastly, crawling in mud underneath barbed wire
Yeah, I'm reverting back to "Am I crazy?"
This should be fun!
